Between 1820-59 in Pest Sas street worker Ferdinand Patzelt our ( son of Johann Ferdinand Patzelt )grandson was Ferdinand Patzelt who was born in Vienna in 1854 and in 1876 he opened the workshop with his brother in Berlin. He was one of the first German violin makers who used a balsam pine woood to violin-making of wich material he found in the Harz Mountainous district.

Rare density pine , double back. Mustard and brown or hazel colored varnish.
